What a wonder-full time of the year. I think God has been in our yard decorating for a great party......I imagine it's happening in your gardens as well.
I'm reminded of a line in one of Mary Oliver's lovely poems.
"I look; morning to night I am never done with looking.
Looking I mean not just standing around, but standing around
as though with your arms wide open."
Practicing presence.....standing around with my arms and eyes wide open.....
ahhhh, yes.........if I'm not too hurried to remember.
This week let's slow down and see what we notice....pick a few pansies and brighten up your salad , light a candle for your dinner table, listen to the birds in the morning, plant some basil and rosemary....enjoy their wonderful aroma.
Listen to your life and then share......your experiences will remind and renew me.
